Invited Builder Update-Jordan Dickinson

Jordan has been busy turning flat pieces sheetmetal and straight pieces of tubing into a motorcycle at his shop in Minnesota. He has a style and an eye for things that doesn't allow himself to use off the shelf or stock parts when he knows he can make something even cooler from scratch! It doesn't hurt that his metal shaping skills are pretty advanced. Follow his work HERE on instagram and be sure to come to Born-Free 7 to see the finished product!

BF7 Invited Builder : Jordan Dickinson

Jordan returns to Born-Free 7 as an Invited Builder which started for him two years ago as a Show Class Magazine People's Champ contestant. Jordan is known for his intense metal fabrication skills, but does it in a way that is so subtle most of it blends seamlessly in the finished build and seems natural.
He's been heavy on it building his frame for his BF7 build and it's gonna be one for the books! The frame is inspired by the early Harley race frames like Petralli's streamliner/late DAH and is completely scratch built. The frame will house a knucklehead motor and the whole bike will be geared toward the 1930's race style.

Go follow him on Instagram HERE

Check out the process Jordan goes through just making the neck on his BF7 frame!

T Bone's Final Stretch...We Hope

Scott is putting countless hours in on his BF6 120R build. The late night/ early morning texts he sends are getting me nervous. He's not sleeping and is losing weight and he's hooked on energy drinks....building a bike for Born-Free is not as glamorous as it sounds. These guys are stressed, broke and tired. We do appreciated the hard work and long nights but it goes with the territory and the end result is worth it. Here are some 3am pics from Scott...His bike is also in the Saturday June 28th giveaway so if you like it...you can win it!

Invited Builder Update-Jordan Dickinson

Jordan Dickinson of Union Speed and Style in Minnesota has been working over time on the tube bender, tig welder, pull max, and more on his Born-Free 6 build. Jordan is no slouch in the fabrication department and this bike will no doubt be one of his finest creations yet!  Be sure to check it out at BF6 and follow him on and his work on Instagram .CLICK HERE

He has this to say about the build so far:
Trying to focus on giving the Sheetmetal a 40's vibe with a bit of a twist.  The gas tank still has miles to go before it's done, I basically just got the shape into it so it matches a stock tank.  From there I'm going to start adding in body line details and probably some stainless trim with a custom tank badge to top it all off.  When we shaped out the fender we went with a little inspiration from an old schwinn fender trim piece, with a little bit of our touch added to it.  Not a huge update, but you see where we're heading with the build.  Motor and tranny is going to be buttoned up next weekend and I really can't wait to show you the pictures of how that has turned out.  It's so rad!

Invited Builder-Jesse Bassett of the Gasbox

We would like to introduce to you one of our new Invited Builders, Jesse Bassett and his shop The Gasbox. Jesse has been building bikes for years in the Midwest and you'll probably recognize a few of them like his Indian. We didn't know Jesse other than seeing pics of his bikes, but people that know him gave high recommendations, so we decided to give him a call and see if he wanted to be a part of Born-Free 6.

He and his wife just gave birth to twins and showed a bike at the One Show in Portland, now Jesse saws it's full speed ahead on his BF6 build, he has this to say about it:

"The bike I am building is based around a knucklehead engine that has been in the Cleveland motorcycle family since the 60's. I actually know of every owner since then. It was built with 80ci flathead flywheels, panhead cylinders with heads modified for the fire ring, and shortened shovel head valves. I modified a stock VL frame and am fitting a Norton roadholder front fork.
This is something I have wanted to build for awhile and am us BF6 as an excuse.

I also included some pictures of some previous builds as sort of a bio.

We are on Facebook and Instagram and Tumblr and Pinterest and every other social apparatus as "The Gasbox" also the website is www.thegasbox.com.
