BF7 Invited Builder Update-Carmine and Jason of VCP

The Invited Builder team of Carmine Bellamore and Jason Moss of Visionary Cycle Products in New York are happy to have the motor done for their build thanks to some talented help.
It's based around oem panhead cases that now displace 88-inches using Truett and Osborne lightweight rotating assembly with H-beam rods, a custom Leineweber cam, dual front heads using oem castings heavily modified by Brandon at Mullins Chian Drive to run twin Amal carbs, a cast Morris G5 magneto, Baisley roller top rocker arms and even one off carbon fiber rocker covers for a total package should make for a fast and high revving motor! The engine specs were designed by Adam Munzinger from Milkhaus Speed Research.
We can't wait to hear this beast run! Stay tuned for more and be sure to follow us on Instagram HERE, Visionary Cycle Products HERE, Milkhaus Speed Research HERE, and Mullins Chain Drive HERE.

BF7 Invited Builder update-Kyle Edger

If you aren't familiar with the name Kyle Edgar yet, you should be! We poached him from the finalists of the Show Class People's Champ last year and asked him to be an Invited Builder for BF7 after awarding him Best Shovelhead at BF6 which was no easy task!
Kyle's award winning shovel brought a fresh look to the much attempted area of small, skinny, bikes and it looks as if he is working more of his magic with a big twin flathead this year. Stay tuned for more! Be sure to follow Kyle on instagram HERE he has a shop called Leadfist Cycles.

BF7 Invited Builder : Hunter Klee

One of the best parts about the Born-Free Builder Invite is finding guys that are super talented and relatively unknown in today's of world of social media. That's Hunter Klee! Nice, humble and loaded with talents. We met Hunter through Chopper Dave and Dave said "you got to talk to this dude...he's really good and a really good dude"! That was enough for us and now he's a builder. Hunter helped out on Dave's killer turbo charged "Steel Shoe" bike for BF, so he brings the performance game to our builder group which really adds some nice diversity. Hunter is checking in for the first time with some photos of his bikes, a rendering and the story:

The story of "Katy"

My build is basically a flat track race bike. I was itching to build a dual throttle body fuel injected twin ever since helping ChopperDave with the "Steel Shoe", his Born Free 5 build. After building my Buell Blast tracker "Pink" and my Sportster Flat track race bike "Britney", I've had this bike stuck in my head. (Britney earned her name because she's twice as heavy as Pink) Katy's powerplant is from a Buell XB9. The Buell's lend themselves very nicely to a custom chassis build with the swing arm mount cast into the cases and little less heft than the Sportsters they are derived from. The fuel injection is going to be all late model Harley with the ecu reading crank position only for timing.
The chassis and swing arm is all designed by me and will be built by me. As well as the carbon fiber bodywork. Billy at STD/Spyke/Compufire has graciously offered to make a set of XR style heads for me to accomplish the task of dual throttle bodies and left side exhaust. Paul and Pops are going to be helping me out with getting my wheel design turned into reality, as well as providing the Lyndall Brakes that will stop her. Dave and Sean at Progressive Suspension are helping me out with getting her to handle right. Tuning will be handled by a Vance and Hines FP3. Todd Canavan and I have the enormous task of stripping down the late model wiring harness to the bare bones of what a race bike needs.
Can't wait to see it done! Follow Hunter on Instagram HERE

Mama Tried and the Street 500 Giveaway in Milwaukee

We had a blast at the Mama Tried show in Milwaukee over the weekend thanks to Warren and Scott that put on the event. In a city already rich with motorcycle history these guys have put together a show that has become a must-see in two short years.
They also let us use it as a place to giveaway the Harley-Davidson "Thresher" Street 500 we had built last year for BF6 by Brandon of Brawny Built and Speed Merchant. The bike was one fo the first custom Streets built and was featured on the cover of HOT BIKE magazine and numerous other places. One lucky guy named Scott Takes had his ticket pulled and was there at the show...the rest is history! Scott is a very talented and does a lot of paint work, you can follow him HERE on his instagram. It turned out to be a bit of a Cinderella story for us because we always hope our bikes go to good homes and even though we didn't really know Scott it turned out that he has painted several of our invited builder bikes over the years as well as many other cool scoots. He also received a new Biltwell Gringo helmet with the bike. Congrats to Scott and thanks to all that helped with the Street Project including a big thanks to Harley-Davidson.

Don't forget we are giving away 3 more bikes at Born-Free this summer, don't miss out!!

OF course no trip to Milwaukee would be complete with lots of fried cheese curds and a visit to the Harley Museum! This place is heaven on earth for us, plus they had a new photo exhibit you gotta check out.

T Bone's Final Stretch...We Hope

Scott is putting countless hours in on his BF6 120R build. The late night/ early morning texts he sends are getting me nervous. He's not sleeping and is losing weight and he's hooked on energy drinks....building a bike for Born-Free is not as glamorous as it sounds. These guys are stressed, broke and tired. We do appreciated the hard work and long nights but it goes with the territory and the end result is worth it. Here are some 3am pics from Scott...His bike is also in the Saturday June 28th giveaway so if you like it...you can win it!
